Giles has over 15 years experience as a consultant and analyst of Japan's media industries. At MMJ, he has developed cutting-edge research, consulted for wireless content and technology companies worldwide, and managed large scale mobile product deployments into over 20 markets worldwide. Giles serves as Director of International Alliances for the Mobile Content Forum (MCF), a trade consortium of over 200 leading Japanese wireless companies. He holds a BA from Wesleyan University and a Ph.D. from Columbia University. He is fluent in Japanese and French.
Director and Senior Marketing Consultant
Coco has over 10 years experience working in marketing and consulting at Japanese and American advertising agencies. Prior to joining Mobile Media Japan, she ran the Tokyo office of an American relationship marketing company to manage loyalty marketing projects for large foreign corporations in Japan. She holds a B.A. from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC, and an M.B.A. from Babcock Graduate School of Management, Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. She is fluent in English, and is a native speaker of Japanese.
Kevin J. Smith

In addition to editing and contributing to MMJ news and research products, Kevin works closely with MMJ in his capacity as founder and president of Amitelic, a Tokyo-based internationalization and globalization consultancy. Prior to founding Amitelic, Kevin worked for Hill and Knowlton Japan, supporting global clients such as HTC, Computer Associates, and HP. Kevin holds a B.A. in Asian Studies-Japan from Washington State University, an M.A. in Japanese Studies from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and a Japan-focused MBA from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and the Japan-America Institute of Management Science. Kevin is fluent in Japanese.
Victor has over 15 years experience as an international technical expert on all things mobile. Previously, he served as CTO at Mowave, as Senior Business Consultant with Vigience, and as a member of the product management team at SAP Labs Tokyo. Victor is fluent in Dutch, English, Japanese and German.
Business Development Consultant
Scott assists MMJ in his capacity as founder and Principal Consultant at SMResearch.org, a consulting practice specializing in growth strategies for consumer mobile and social media startups. Scott specializes in business development, user adoption modeling, and product refinement. Prior to SMResearch, Scott worked at Wired, Incubasia, Oberon Media, and Xerox PARC. Scott has a BA from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and has an MBA from MIT.
Web and Technical Projects
Eiko has over years of 15 experience in Japanese web and technical project management. Previously, Eiko worked for BT Japan where she managed content development for their Japanese mobile portal, as well as Mitsui and Dentsu Japan overseeing large framework implementations. She is fluent in Japanese and English.
